A vegan-led community for kindness, connection and young adult mentoring.
ReTriber brings together vegans and compassion-driven people who want to support one another and help young adults thrive. The community is live; the nonprofit is not yet registered. That's where you come in.
Not interested in a board-level role? No problem—you can still be part of what we're building.
Paul Paza has built the vision, and our visionary team has built the community platform and early
momentum. A strong nonprofit needs three compassionate Directors at the table.
Challenge ideas constructively and help ensure sound governance.
Care for young people is what drives you—and the reason ReTriber exists.
Our programmes are rooted in compassion for humans and animals alike.
A one-year minimum commitment to attend meetings, contribute to decisions and help build a legacy for generations to come.
We respect your time. Here's what the founding director role looks like in practice.
Approximately 3 hours per week plus one monthly board meeting (approximately 3 hours). The annual general meeting will be held remotely in Year 1.
Minimum one-year commitment from appointment.
Unpaid. Approved expenses reimbursed under an agreed policy.
Directors' and Officers' (D&O) liability insurance will be active at all times.
One director must be Texas-based. The second may live anywhere, including internationally.
Meetings held remotely. In-person collaboration is welcomed but not required.
This is a legal board role with fiduciary duties. All responsibilities and liabilities will be explained in full before you are asked to accept.
Actual duties, meeting cadence and working style will be discussed collaboratively—not dictated. We want directors who help design how the board operates.
Feeling that the time or governance commitment isn't realistic right now?
That's completely OK. You can still contribute meaningfully as a community member.
“Though the problems of the world are increasingly complex, the solutions remain embarrassingly simple.”
— Bill Mollison
We want people who care about the mission and are willing to take their governance responsibilities seriously.
Vegan — this is non-negotiable; our programmes are vegan-led.
Over 18 years of age.
Willing to commit to a minimum of one year.
Comfortable with legal governance responsibilities.
Passionate about helping young people thrive and get a good start in life.
Experience with nonprofit governance, community organisations or youth-serving programmes.
Financial literacy or experience reviewing organisational budgets.
Background in education, social work, youth mentoring or community development.
Familiarity with Texas nonprofit law (helpful, not required).
Experience with diverse, Indigenous or international communities; visionary communication and a collaborative mindset.
You don't need to be a nonprofit expert. Willingness to learn matters more than credentials. You don't need to be based in the US (one role is open internationally), and you don't need to be available full-time—this is structured around a few hours each week.
Passionate about the mission but not a fit for the board? Many of our most impactful members contribute as mentors, skill-sharers and community builders—no governance role required.
Both founding directors will receive the following in recognition of their contribution.
Two years of Build membership
Complimentary ReTriber Build membership for 2 years, valued at $7,128 ($297/month), including one-to-one mentoring, personalised action planning and full community access.
Honorary Founding Member status
Automatic honorary founding member status—no pledge needed. Your contributions today will be honoured by generations to come.
A genuine seat at the table
Co-design the nonprofit's structure, programmes and culture from day one.
Founding director recognition
Recognition as a founding director in official communications and filings.
D&O insurance
Directors' and Officers' insurance coverage throughout your tenure for peace of mind.
Meaningful long-term impact
Your decisions will shape how ReTriber serves young people and families now and for generations to come.
This isn't a token title. It is a real governance role with responsibilities, influence and a meaningful
opportunity to help build the organisation.
Here's how it works, step by step.

“I've spent years building the vision for ReTriber. But I know that the best organisations are never built by one person. I'm looking for two people who care as deeply as I do about creating a world where young people feel supported, connected and valued. If that's you, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.”
— Paul Paza, Founding Director, ReTriber Youth Fellowship
Review the details and decide whether this opportunity fits your circumstances.
Only one of the two director positions requires a Texas-based candidate. The second director may live anywhere in the world.
No. This is an unpaid governance role. Approved out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed under a policy agreed upon by the board. Directors receive complimentary ReTriber Build membership (valued at $7,128 over two years) and additional ongoing support and mentoring in recognition of their commitment.
As a nonprofit director, you'll have fiduciary duties including duty of care, loyalty, adherence to legal requirements and acting in the interests of others over your own interests. All responsibilities and potential liabilities will be explained in full—and D&O insurance will be in place—before you are asked to formally accept the role.
